Also refered to as "The Wal-Mart Gun" recently I picked one of these up as my first airsoft gun ever. After bringing it home (because I'm a horrible impulse shopper sometimes) I started doing the research and discovered that its actually becoming a fairly well liked entry level but still professional grade $100 gun.
At the game after getting the hop up adjusted I actually had a chance to play with it but thought something was amiss. Further research I decided to check the barrel dimensions and discovered it has a 6.08mm bore diameter. This cannot stay.
So I've done the initial research of the length (14" but thats probably not a real accurate measurement) at 300mm. What I would like help with is verifying a compatable and tighter bore inner barrel that will hopefully require as little additional parts like changing the outer barrel.
Since I'm new to the whole Airsoft modding scene, I would like suggestions as to brand and just how tight is too tight (6.01 seems WAY too likely to jam if the bb's have any irregularity) such as 6.03 or 6.05... smaller the better of course.
The barrel I have now also has a hopup on it but I am not sure if A) That is removeable or fixed, and B) if I have to remove it will it hurt much to the accuracy and range.
If someone has spare M4 parts that I could also tinker with to see what works, if it works, etc etc and either buy them off someone or just order my own.
Sorry if thats long winded
TL;DR Barrel is wide, want smaller diameter, halp.
